In September 2017, Evelyn spoke at two events in Copenhagen, Denmark. At the first annual European Data Ethics Forum she addressed the theme of ‘The rise of the privacy-conscious and rights claiming citizens.’ She also delivered a keynote lecture at the University of Copenhagen Centre for Social Data Science on ‘An experiment in Citizen Data.’ The lecture was part of a workshop on ‘Experimenting with Social Data.’
In October 2017, Evelyn made a presentation at the UNECE Data Collection Workshop in Ottawa, Canada. She also served on the organising committee of the annual event which brings together statisticians from across Europe and the Americas. Her presentation, ‘A citizen data app: reflections on a collaborative practice’ discussed the findings of the ARITHMUS workshop on a citizen data app.
In November 2017, she delivered a public lecture at the Digital Ethnography Research Centre, RMIT, Australia on ‘Crafting Automation.’ The lecture was part of a symposium on Digital Data and Automation in Everyday Life.
